Today over 200 million Europeans live in cities established on coastlines, along river networks, or on the shores of lakes. Our urban areas also contain man-made water features such as fountains, canals and ponds. These blue spaces play a major role in determining the quality of our urban areas and contribute to a wide range of services and benefits for urban populations.

Bringing together the political commitment of the Intergroup to stimulate debate on the sustainable development of coastal territories and the scientific evidence of the researchers on this initiative, the SEArica Intergroup, the H2020 BlueHealth Project and the European Marine Board are co-organising a webinar on Friday 20th November, 15.00-16.00 (CEST time).
