On May 8th, 2019, it has been launched in Bucharest, the Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (SRIA) on Blue Growth in the Black Sea region. For supporting the implementation of SRIA, on October 2019, started the H2020 Black Sea CONNECT Project - Coordination of marine and maritime research and innovation in the Black Sea. The Black Sea Universities Network (BSUN), leader within the Consortium Partners, is coordinating Task 4.2 - Black Sea Awareness & Outreach, which provides the following objectives: Educational activities, Online Training Platform, Hackathons, Black Sea Observatory on Blue Growth, Science Fairs, Mobile caravan, Gaming of Blue Growth in the Black Sea and Art Fairs.

At the same time, under the EU4Ocean Initiative, supported by the European Commission, it has been initiated the Network of European Blue Schools. More information can be found at the following link.

The BSUN, in collaboration with Black Sea CONNECT Consortium, Mare Nostrum NGO, European Marine Science Educators Association (EMSEA) and Ciencia Viva, is organizing the EU4Ocean - Network of European Blue Schools - Black Sea Workshop, as an online event on the 28th of October, 2020, between 13.00 and 15.00 Bucharest time (GMT+3).

This year, the workshop will be dedicated to the celebration of the International Black Sea Day!
